China’s Mobile Market by the Numbers [INFOGRAPHIC]

China’s mobile market is a market of superlatives. Largest mobile market, highest number of mobile internet users, largest mobile gaming ecosystem, list goes on. Achieving sustainable growth in the world’s biggest mobile market might sound intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be that way.

This is where the XploreChina initiative comes in.

Our team of experts has an unmatched understanding of the Chinese mobile market and they will guide you every step of the way to deliver tangible results.

We’ve compiled a set of important stats and facts about China’s mobile market in the infographic below. Give it a read and when you’re ready to take your mobile advertising campaigns to the next level, drop us a line.

Here are 3 main takeaways:

1. China has the most mobile internet users in the world

With over 850 million internet users, and almost 99% of them relying on mobile internet on a daily basis, China’s mobile internet user base is over three times the size of that in the US. With huge markets come huge opportunities.

2. Mobile ad spend in China is massive and growing

Mobile ad spending in China is looking to be just under $70 billion by the end of the year, with the potential to reach the $100 billion mark over the next 3 years according to eMarketer forecasts. Not only that but Chinese users are likely to maintain their spending habits in the future, despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

3. China’s mobile gaming market is the largest in the world

As China is a mobile-first (or even mobile-only) market, mobile gaming is a natural fit for its user base. In fact, 25% of the global gaming revenue comes from China and it’s looking to grow even more in 2020.
