At this year’s Casual Connect San Francisco, NativeX Co-Founder, Rob Weber gave a talk about increasing in-app ad revenue through metric driven design and emotional targeting. His tips for mobile game developers included creating an incredible first-time user experience to retain your players, using basic design principles to improve ad experiences, and general tactics for monetizing your “VIP Payers” AND your “Free Players.” The session was about 20 minutes long and is now available for you to watch on Youtube, thanks to the folks at Casual Connect!

Video Description

Delivered at Casual Connect USA, July 2014 – this session explores how to leverage emotions and design in order to capture more in-app revenue. It covers different approaches to metrics driven design with supporting case studies. In addition, developers will learn the six fundamental design principles used to move customers through the advertising funnel.

If you watched the video and didn’t take notes or if you’d prefer an in-depth overview of the session instead of video, you’re in luck. I published a blog post in July that summarizes the key points from the session (Designing Mobile Games for Retention and Monetization).
